New Video! ClayPaky Golden Spot
ClayPaky Golden Spot is the most atmospheric light I have in my collection, and a favourite model, which managed to displace Stage Zoom from my room. I always favourited that model, no matter of its more simple features. Its gobo palette and especially the colour combinations are nothing of the kind. The extra filters it has, the yellow, light green, and turquoise are creating so awesome, atmospheric, dark and pastel colours that it's impossible to create with CMY. Colors that it was so difficult to capture with the camera, and to present them as realistic as possible. The glass gobos are truly artistic and their combinations create mesmerizing projection and aerial effects, like water flow or moving/morphing.
Another thing I love about Golden Spot is the unique triangle breakup gobo which couldn’t be found in any other fixture’s palette. Each light had its personality back then and stood out from others, and Golden Spot is one of them. I first saw this model back in 2007/2008, but only its basic functions and gobos. I had to wait for many years until I got one in my hands and worked with it.
